Happy Thanksgiving!!

We went to Eric's Aunt Michelle's for Thanksgiving on Thursday. We got a picture of all the guys! We had a delicious meal. Thanks for having us Michelle!
The Schmidt's minus me!

Today we went to Barb and Spence's to celebrate Thanksgiving and here is our traditional kids on the couch picture. We really need to start taking it when we arrive instead of when we are getting ready to go. I'll post more pictures later when I get them from Dad's camera. The kids are getting bigger and Alex is able to sit up pretty good by himself:-)

Alex fell asleep on the two hour trip up to Barb and Spence's! He is still rear facing in his car seat, so this is the view I have from the passenger seat while looking in his rain forest mirror. Nice hair:-)

Evan did not fall asleep during the two hour trip to Barb and Spence's. We had to stop twice because he said he was poopy and he wasn't. But his diaper was pretty full and he needed to be changed when we stopped at Hinkley. He was asleep before we got back to the freeway heading home and didn't wake up until we were almost home. He was a tired boy!
When I picked up Alex on Wednesday Carmelita said he was very tired. I got him home and he had a couple bites of food and he passed out in his high chair for about an hour. He was OUT! Evan never fell asleep in his high chair. He could not function if he was really tired and couldn't stand to sit in the high chair.
Eric was making bottles the other morning and he took the cardboard wrapper off the baby formula and Evan put it on his head and said "Birthday"...like his birthday hat he got on his Birthday. Not quite...but still funny:-)
The last couple weeks Evan has been very into "cover me" He got out this mat and was putting it over he and Alex this morning. He always wants us to cover him with his blanket.
Who is under that mat? "Peek A Boo"

Uncle Greg comes over for dinner

Thursday night Mom and Dad brought over Chinese food for dinner and Uncle Greg stopped by. The boys had fun playing blocks and we got them to sit on his lap for a picture.
I think Evan is teething too. Look at that drool!
It 's time to reassemble the LED Snowman from last year. He required some maintenance since he took a couple hits by the wind and snow last winter. As you can see this is not a one man job!

He's starting to resemble a Snowman again!

Mom has been working at painting this blue chair for Alex to match Evan's red chair. The chair was mine when I was a kid. Now they each have a wooden rocking chair! Of course Evan had to get up from his chair during the picture:-)

Presents!

Sometimes the best gift...is actually the wrapping paper.

Fun!

Evan was having fun eating an apple at the table this morning!

Evan loves building "A Tower" with his blocks. Alex enjoys playing with the blocks too, but he isn't quite stacking them yet. They are more of a teether:-)

Tower goes TIMBER!
Alex and Grandpa Bob. Look at the drool:-)
Alex wears a bib at all times except when he is posing for a picture. His shirt would need to be changed every 20 minutes without a bib. I got him some waterproof cotton bibs and he has even soaked through those!

What is up?

Last month when Eric was in Asia Gay and Michelle took Evan down to Iowa for the weekend to visit Eric's Great Aunt Yvonne and Great Uncle Don. He had a great time visiting and entertaining them:-)
Evan got a new car seat and Alex took over his old car seat. He put his sunglasses up on his head like that upside down!
Evan's Godparents Steve and Lori came to visit last weekend. Lori was playing
"Ring around the Rosie" with Evan. He kept saying "again" "again"! He'll make you play "Ring around the Rosie" til you're dizzy:-)

Evan really enjoys making a mess when he eats his yogurt. "Say CHEESE"!
Alex has really become a big eater. He is over 20 lbs now and growing like crazy. We visited the cardiologist at the end of October and he doesn't need to go back for a whole year! He is drooling like crazy and I can see that his two bottom teeth are starting to poke through after months of soaking wet shirts and bibs!

Last weekend we took Evan to the park and he had fun going down the twisty slide! WHEEE!
It may be hard to believe but on October 13th there was snow on the ground. Thank goodness it didn't stick around long. Evan was very excited to touch it. This is his hand print in the snow. He kept saying "I touch it"!

Eric was gone for two weeks in Asia for the last two weeks of October. I sent him this picture of the boys playing while he was gone.

We have a couple of cats that come to visit Eddie. He goes crazy when he sees them at his front door. One evening we looked outside and the long-haired grey cat chased the white cat up the tree. By the time the boys were in bed the white cat had come down from the tree. You can see the eyes glowing on the cat on the ground.
I saved the best for last!!
Over the past couple months Evan has started saying "I poopy" "I poopy" when he is peeing or pooping, so I got him an insert for the toilet. He'll sit on the toilet and want to look at puppies in a magazine. 95% of the time nothing happens and we go back to playing. Last week I thought he didn't do anything and he had pooped in the toilet! He gets an M&M when he succeeds! Here he is checking out his poop! One step closer to him being out of diapers:-) He has come very curious about poop and wants to see all his diapers. He keeps repeating "I see" "I see"!

Happy Halloween!

We headed over to Grandma Gay's and Grandpa Bob's to do some trick or treating.

Eric just got home from being in Asia for two weeks, so we had no time to carve our own pumpkins, so these are some pumpkins we saw on our adventure.

Grandma Gay got Evan these fruit snacks for Halloween and we are pretty sure they made his poop bright neon green.
