Evan rode a black horse.  Something was going on at Nickelodeon Universe yesterday, because almost everyone had unlimited wristbands(except us) and the lines were enormous and they didn't have enough workers to staff the rides.  We waited through three carousel rides for our turn(this is unheard of). 

We waited a really long time to ride on this Diego ride and then the ride broke while we were on it and we had to get off.  They gave us our points back. 

Alex had his kindergarten readiness evaluation yesterday.  He is right on track and they have no concerns.  We knew that already!  They stopped to play with these toys as we left.

We went to 5 Guys for a burger.  Evan observed that there were 5 guys working in the kitchen.  That isn't why it is called 5 Guys,  but we wondered!  

Snow Fun!

Even without a sled going down the hill is fun! 

This morning the boys wanted to play outside in the snow.  We are all looking forward to the snow being gone, but we managed to have some fun!

We stayed at a hotel last weekend and the boys had a blast swimming in the pool.  Evan got to try out his new kick board and dive sticks.  It is amazing to me how the boys can both dive under in 5+ feet of water to retrieve the dive sticks.  Alex needs a little push, but Evan can go right down. All the money toward years of swimming lessons is finally paying off!  Alex can jump in where he can't touch comes up and takes a breath and puts his head down and kicks to the wall.

While we were at the dinner our friend Tori stayed in the room with the boys. Evan has on her boots and Alex is wearing my shoes! After dinner the boys came to listen to the band.

Island Event

We got dressed up for the Change of Watch for the Power Squadron. Eric said he was going to rent a tux, so I thought I should get a sparkly dress. He ended up just wearing his suit, but we still looked very nice.

Alex was thrilled to see the plow cleaning up our street this morning!

Happy Valentine's Day

I got the boys Thomas vehicles for their track instead of candy. Alex is home sick today, so he is missing his V Day party, but I dropped off his box and Valentine's so he'll still get some loot.

February 12th

Evan was home last Thursday and Friday with a fever.  He was working on doing "Quality Work" coloring this picture.  He was working hard to stay in the lines and spend more than a minute or two coloring.

Sometimes I have an early morning visitor in the bathroom, because Alex can be an early riser.  He comes in with his little pillow and a couple blankets and his two Curious George stuffed animals. 

Saturday he went with me to pick up my swag (sweatshirt and this headband) for a 7K race I'm doing next month.  He wanted to model this headband in his favorite color green!

After getting the swag on Saturday we went to our friend Tristan's birthday party.  I wanted to get a car wash on the way home and Alex fell asleep on the way.  He slept right through the car wash(one of his favorite things)!

Saturday night the boys wanted to go in the hot tub.  They love diving down and searching for their dive toys with their goggles on.

Sunday they worked on Valentine cards.  I was happy that they were finally able to do some of it themselves this year, so I didn't have to do it all myself.  Evan has two classes of almost 20 kids, so that is a lot of Valentines!

The Teddy Bear Band played at our daycare's sweet heart supper last night and the boys were so excited.  Alex was right up near the front holding his George and giving him a workout.  Evan danced and sang a little with "Big Bear".  The kids just LOVE the Teddy Bear Band.  Those guys have been singing for kids for 28 years!

Today the sheriff was sitting at the end of our dock looking for speeders on their sleds.  They tear up our ice rink with their sleds and this doesn't make us very happy.  I didn't even see any snowmobiles go by while they were sitting there.  They kept the boys busy for awhile sitting there watching them.

This weekend Evan got to bring home this bear named Sunny from preschool.  Sunny waves to the boys as they are outside playing.

Sunny played Don't Break The Ice with Evan and I before bed on Friday night.
