More April

Eric's parents got Evan this wagon when he was just a baby. Today Eric finally put it together and we took the boys for a walk. At the end of the walk we stopped at the Minnetonka Drive In and the boys ordered from their wagon:-)
We also walked to Dairy Queen. Evan enjoyed his ice cream cone.

He finished his cone in the wagon. I tried to use the napkin as a bib, but he still dripped ice cream all over. YUMMY!

Last weekend out at the island Evan did some work on the playground raking sticks. Hopefully the swings will be up next week.
Friday night we stayed out at the island. Alex slept in until about 7:00(that is late for him). He was talking and playing by himself, so I was able to keep sleeping. It was pretty chilly outside, but we were nice and warm inside the cabin. The boys wearing their matching fleece PJ's.
Eric helps lift the boys up so they can look out the hatch of the boat.
Alex passed out on the way back to the slip on Saturday morning. This was a bad thing, because he wouldn't take a nap when we got home.

Evan was a little cold on our trip back to the slip.

Boating Season and more Zoo

Alex was happy, but tired when we got back from the boat today. Evan took a nap, but Alex fell asleep on our way back to the slip.
Last night we stayed out on the boat for the first time this season. The earliest we've ever had the boat out. It was a little chilly, so it was a good thing we had a heater. It is nice to have the ice out of the lake. Evan kept telling Eric to put the boat in the water. He was ready to go boating!
Alex was not too happy about wearing a life jacket, but he'll get used to it. We gave him Sponge Bob and put Evan in a new life jacket we got from Nick and Steph(Jeremy's old one). It fits him perfect, so he was happy to pass along Sponge Bob to his little brother. He passed out on the way back to the slip.
We went to the zoo again yesterday and the bears were wrestling, so we got some pictures of them.

Breakfast on the boat

You'd never know that it's only 32 outside. Thank goodness for a heater in the boat's cabin. Maybe we'll bundle up and go play on the swingset later.

More Easter Fun!

Now I have two laundry helpers. Alex has figured out which button turns the washer and dryer on or off, so I really have to watch him.
My boys in their Easter outfits watching a movie in their Elmo chairs:-)
Not sure why Evan is putting his feet up on the screen?

The boys have fun playing with the basketball hoop on the patio door instead of the bathtub.

Alex uses the hoop to support himself! Look at that drool:-) He is cutting some teeth and major crabby!

Friday daycare was closed so Bob and Gay took the boys in the morning and Eric took the afternoon off with them. They had to go to an appointment with Gay and Evan ended up walking out with a bunch of stickers ..that he stuck on his pants:-) When he gets shots he only gets one sticker, so he must've really put on the charm..!
Evan is at a stage where he has to do everything himself. It drives us crazy..because sometimes it takes 4 times as long. Gay and Bob experienced Evan trying to put on his belt himself on Friday morning.
Take a seat to finish the job....but I think something isn't quite right.

Papa Bob steps in to help out:-)
Alex tries to eat his sticker! YUM!
Love this pic of Alex. He is getting to be such a little man!
Papa Bob had to work early this morning, so Bob and Gay came over to hide eggs for the boys and after Bob went to work we emptied out the eggs and Gay told Evan he could hide them for Great Auntie Mitch(Michelle) when she would arrive later. Evan hid the eggs in Alex's room and really had fun hiding them for her.

They really weren't hidden so much as dropped on the floor!

Happy Easter Everyone!

New Kids on the couch!

Happy Easter!!

The Easter bunny was here!
He brought us a basketball hoop for the bathtub

We also got a star that is a fountain that lights up.

Alex almost went for a dunk in the tub.
Yesterday we went to Barb and Spence's and the kids got to find eggs!
Alex could pick up the eggs and put them in the bag.
Evan took the biggest haul of eggs!
These plastic eggs are over 30 years old. They are the eggs our grandma used to fill and hide for us kids when we were little.
Friday Eric grilled out and the boys helped him and they forgot to unlock the door, so they were locked out!
Alex sporting his Mauer T-Shirt...so cute! Thanks Mindy.
Cooking rice on the grill along with with chicken, steak and salmon.
Evan graduated from his gymnastics session yesterday!
Taa Dah!
