Picnic dinner @ JJ's

Tonight after gymnastics I got Old MacDonald's for the kids and JJ's for me and we ate outside at Jimmy John's! It was nearly 90 degrees but we didn't care:-)

Summer Fun!

Alex came home tonight with this corn that he grew at school! He wrote the letters CORN on the tag himself all out of order:-). Tonight the boys fed leftover French Fries to the huge carp at Lord Fletcher's. We spent some time on the boat enjoying summer that has finally arrived! The boys even braved the water that was 64 degrees! our lilac bushes were growing out of control so the boys trimmed them up and i won't be brushed by them when i walk by them! Saturday we went to a family picnic with some cousins. Friday night we had a bad storm and our power was out as well as where the picnic was held. During the picnic our power was restored thankfully! We got a generator from Eric's Dad to keep our fridge running!

Father's Day!

We had the parents and my brother over for a Father's Day BBQ today.  We ate out on the deck and had to rush inside after we got done eating because a storm blew in! 

After too many pictures we had to let them do silly pictures!

We got Eric a SodaStream for Father's Day, so he can make club soda.  We made some orange flavor and the boys response ...Blah we don't like it.  They aren't pop drinkers...Good for them!

Summertime!

My Mom collects Dala horses and other things painted dala.  When I walked into Adventure Club where Evan is spending his summer and noticed this Dala Dino I had to take a picture of it!

The kids had their first week of summer gymnastics last week and we stopped and got them McDonald's (Old MacDonald's) and Jimmy John's for me.  When we got to Jimmy John's we decided to eat outside, because it was such a beautiful evening(FINALLY)! 

Then we stopped at Ben & Jerry's and got ice cream!

Thursday night I surprised them with a picnic dinner outside after Adventure Club. 

Eric picked up some wax worms and took the boys fishing on Saturday!

When they were done fishing the worm was still on the line, so I grabbed it and caught my own fish!  I think I caught the biggest one!

Last night was Italian night at the island.  We didn't get a family picture this year and this one is a self portrait.  They didn't have a band this year, but the kids had fun playing with friends and we all got some mosquito bites!

Nickelodeon Universe

Today the boys and I went to Nickelodeon Universe for Toddler Tuesdays. They have discounted ride passes on Tuesdays. The kids had a blast! They went on the little roller coaster 4 times! Alex had fun making a plane at lego land. The semi isn't in motion when Evan is hanging out the window.

MN Zoo

The boys don't start their summer program until Wednesday so we took a couple days off and today we went to the zoo. They have a giraffe exhibit for the summer. He was very interested in something on his foot. He kept licking it. We also saw a horse at the farm that was waiting for a man to fit him for some new shoes. We missed the dolphins who have moved onto another zoo. The boys also enjoyed the sea otters and penguins!
