| Happy Halloween! Alex wanted to be a Doctor like Evan for Halloween. Alex isn't too big on Halloween, so I'm glad he's wearing his construction worker costume without too much trouble. |

| Time to carve the pumpkins. Thank goodness Daddy came home tonight to do this task! |

| No pumpkin carving kits used this year..these are designed by Eric! These pumpkins are too small to use a kit! |

| They picked these pumpkins when they went to the apple orchard with school, so they had to be small enough for them to carry! Eric really saved time carving this year. |

| We had our Annual Fall photos taken on October 14th. The photographer gave us this sneak peak of one of the photos. I can't wait to see the rest of them! This pic is ADORABLE! |

| They finally got our street paved a week before Evan's birthday. The kids enjoy riding on the asphalt and less dirt is getting tracked into the house! |

| On October 6th I ran a 10K. I've done 5K's before, but never a 10K. It was a chilly morning, but I got 1:05 for a time, so that was pretty good. |

| We took Evan to see Chuck E Cheese on his birthday. It was a Monday night so it wasn't that busy and the kids were able to get some free tickets that Chuck E throws out to the kids. |

| Evan wanted to ride on this clock ride. Good thing he didn't go up too high. His look was a little scared as the seat was rising. |

| Evan got a few Lego sets for his birthday. This excavator set with trailer is pretty cool. |

| The road is done, but there is still dirt! UGH! We lost some of our apron in front of our yard, so they came and filled it with dirt and eventually there will be sod, but of course there is work to be done in the dirt! |

| Last weekend was our last ride on the boat. We went to Maynard's for lunch. The sky was blue and it was pretty nice for mid October! |

| One last time at the island. We had to bring our own toys, because everything is packed up at the island. |

| It was freezing! The wind was really chilly blowing off the water. 20 minutes and I was ready to head home! |

| We got home and were able to eat dinner outside, because it was a beautiful night. We don't know how many more nice days we will have, so we have to take advantage. |

| Thursday night daycare had their Fall festival. The kids got to play some games and win prizes and here they are decorating some cookies. YUM! |

| Last night Chris and Jennie had their annual Halloween party. Here I am with my little Doctor Evan! |

| Yesterday Evan helped me make cupcakes. I make chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and banana cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. |

| We rented a jumpy house to celebrate his birthday. We had hours of fun jumping! |

| Evan and his friend Andrew took a break to eat some tortellini for lunch! |

| Evan had fun jumping with me in the jumpy house. I was in there jumping a couple times and lasted longer than I thought I would. |

| Evan added to his Lego collection, because he received a few new sets for his Birthday. |

| Evan let Alex take this Lego Dump Truck he got for his Birthday and he let Uncle Greg put it together for him. Alex sat by and watched him the whole time. |

| I parked at Terminal 2 even though our flight left from Terminal 1 so that Evan could ride the light rail. |

| Evan got through security just fine. It's a good thing his dad has done it a time or two! |

| Evan kept asking me how you get on the plane. He's never really seen a cabin door open on an airplane. |

| We took the "L" from O'Hare to our hotel downtown. Evan likes the train. |

| Nice hotel room dad! It even overlooks the train station. Every time a train came by, Evan would have to run over to the window and watch it. |

| Even though it was only 50 degrees, we had to get some ice cream near Lake Michigan. |

| When we got back to the hotel, there was a Professional Table Tennis Tournament in the lobby that was broadcast on national television. |

| The next morning, my aunt Steph and uncle Scott (who live in Chicago) picked us up and took us to Navy Pier. |

| After Navy Pier, Steph and Scott drove us back to O'Hare. We got there a little early. Luckily, we were able to get on an earlier flight so we didn't have to wait. |
