No screaming...for Ice Cream!!

Tonight was Evan's 3rd swimming lesson and the last couple weeks there have
been a little rough. We decided to bribe him with ice cream at Dairy
Queen if he didn't cry. No tears, so we delivered the ice cream!
Yippee Evan! Way to go big boy:-).

Trampoline fun!

Sunday afternoon we went to Steve and Lori's, so Evan could jump on their trampoline. At gymnastics he gets about 30 seconds on the small trampoline before the next kid wants to get on it. He was in heaven!! The trampoline is so large that we could have 3 people on it at the same time. Fun was had by all! Love the hair Evan..I think we need to get a haircut this week:-)

I share the trampoline with my little brother Alex.

Daddy moves his legs just a little bit and we both jump around and giggle! Evan can't stand up no matter how hard he tries:-) He's got the hiccups!

I hold him while I jump and he laughs and laughs!

Alex has fun on the trampoline too!

Steve has a John Deere riding mower, so Eric gave him a ride. He really thought that was cool.

Alex is a climber. If there is something he must climb it. We have a Little Tykes picnic table in our house and he constantly climbs up and sits on top. He gets down safely by himself. Sometimes I think he does it to get away from the cat. Here he climbs up to get a better view of Daddy and Evan riding on the tractor.

Evan loved getting a ride in Steve's wheelbarrow. Steve is Evan's godfather.

Both boys go for a ride in the wheelbarrow!

Summer!

Saturday night we went to a luau out at the island. We got dressed up for occasion. We didn't get caught in the rain that was heading toward us. The thunder did wake up Alex a few times. We kept dry overnight in the cabin!

The boys making funny faces in the patio door while Eric grills some chicken for dinner!

Sunday morning I try to get a picture of the boys in their dump truck PJ's. They weren't really cooperating! Don't look at the camera..Don't look at the camera!

Somebody donated a boat to the sandbox at the island and Alex tries it out! It has a steering wheel and a horn and a shifter. Almost like driving daddy's boat:-)

Evan attempts to limbo! I think the pole needs to be a bit lower to be considered a limbo!

Evan's Father's Day Card about Daddy

Evan made this card for Eric at daycare for Father's Day. His answers are so cute! I'm not sure where he got the Costume answer. I'm not sure Eric likes going to Work, but he is always trying to hurry the boys up in the morning, so he can get there. I think Eric is always going to McDonald's, because that is what Evan likes.

Father's Day Dinner

After our day on the water we took Eric to White Castle for his
favorite sliders! We called Papa Dewey on the way! He was jealous:-)

Happy Father's Day!

We stayed out at the island last night and picked up Eric's parents this morning and brought them out to the island for the day. The kids played for awhile and we had some lunch. Then the boys napped and we hung out on the boat. I got my first sunburn of the year. Too bad I wasn't wearing a tank top. I'm gonna have a funny tan line on my arm. Evan went for a short swim. It was a little too chilly, so he just played in the sand with Daddy. Happy Father's Day! Eric got 3 new polo shirts and a new cup holder for the boat. It is a replacement for the one Alex broke a couple weeks ago. Thanks Alex:-)

Daddy shows Evan how to make sandcastle!

Evan takes a rake and demolishes the sandcastle!

Wash away the evidence

Eric teaches Evan an underdog!

Eric walks under Evan as he pushes him on the swing!

again again again!

Family of 4 swinging on two swings. Alex is still in his PJ's!

Evan has fun with Mommy pushing him!

Big Boy Bed!

Tonight, Evan got his big boy bed! It's actually the top part of a bunk bed. As soon as Alex is ready for a big boy bed, we'll set up the other half. Then, if they ever want to "bunk up" in the same room, they can.

Ready to be a big boy?

Today we went to Hom Furniture to pick out a big boy bed for Evan.  We will pick it up this week.  I thought he should practice sleeping outside his crib, so here he is sleeping on his crib mattress on the floor.  I wonder if he will wake me up tonight?

Daddy is teaching Alex to eat cold pizza in the morning for breakfast

Daycare pictures

Evan and his friend Andrew reading a book at daycare. Do you think they notice it is upside down? At least they are sharing:-)
They had a pirate theme a couple months ago and Georgia and Evan try to give their best pirate face:-)
The boys dressed up on fashion show day. Here is Alex with his girlfriend Cameron. She has moved onto the toddler room. Get walking Alex so you can follow her!

Evan giving his cutest look for the fashion show! I think he could be in a magazine selling kids clothes.

Schooner days and a little boating

Eden Prairie's festival Schooner Days was going on this weekend, so we went with Eric's parents and the boys. Evan went on his first Ferris wheel ride! He wasn't scared at all.
Alex watching the Ferris wheel with Papa.
No hands on the helicopter ride!

The Ferris wheel!
They had a small roller coaster that Evan liked for about 2 times around and then it got too loud and he didn't like it anymore! He called the roller coaster a train. I don't think he is ready for the high roller at Valley Fair yet!
Evan wanted to go on the Ferris wheel again, so this time we brought Alex. He wasn't scared either.
Alex got a 30 minute nap on the way back from Eden Prairie, so he didn't want to go down for a nap, but he was very tired(two wha wha's). He is very proud that he can now climb up on the couch by himself!
His pal Eddie sleeps in a basket of magazines in the sun.
When they boys got up from their nap we asked Evan if he wanted to go to the park or on the boat and he said boat. So we took out the boat and went to Lord Fletcher's for dinner.
We pass by an inflatable climbing mountain on our way back to the boat slip. Evan loves to look at the mountain. Hopefully sometime kids will be climbing up the mountain, so he can see how it should be used. I asked him where is the mountain?
