| When we looked at this house the previous owner had built monkey bars in his son's room. They took the monkey bars with them when they moved and Eric told Evan he'd build him some like them. Last fall they started the project to build the monkey bars and the project is finally complete and thanks to the neighbors they are hanging in Evan's room! They are made of plumbing pipe and spray painted red, white and blue. Look at that smile as he attempts to cross the bars! He is getting stronger everyday. We need to get him some gloves to help protect his hands from blisters. Check out the video below. This is from day 2. He's doing better already. He is in gymnastics and this is great to help him build up his arm strength. We need to get him some sort of mat to put under it, because he is going to want to be doing tricks. Right now he's landing in his bean bag chair. He needs our help to get lifted up to the bars! |

Monkey Bars for the monkey!
More summer fun!

| We went to Delano's 4th of July Festival on July 5th and the boys got to ride a few rides. |

| There was a large park nearby we stopped by on our way out of town and the boys played. They had these big rocks they had to climb up on. |
 |
| For the past month we've been seeing advertisements that they would be showing the movie Despicable Me at Big Island on an inflatable movie screen at dusk, so we had to go. It was a little challenging to get anchored and tied up with people, but the boys enjoyed it. Once we were set in our spot the boys had to wait 3 hours for the movie to start! How many times did we hear...when is the movie going to start? See how high the sun is in the sky? It's got to be almost dark! They managed to stay awake for it. |

| The time did pass pretty quickly. Eric took this panoramic shot from the bow. I think there ended up being 12 boats tied up in the chain we started. |

| We tied up with Donald and Lori, so the boys hung out with Nina and Donald to pass the time! |

Eric's Birthday

| Eric's birthday was a couple weeks ago. I'm behind on posting, so here's what we did! |

| Alex requested a stack of tiny pancakes |

| We caught a regatta on the way to Maynard's for lunch. |
 |
| They were racing around big island. It's fun to watch them changing sails as they change direction. |

| Perfect day for lunch on the Wharf at Maynard's! |

| Instead of a cake Eric requested to go to Ben and Jerry's for ice cream in Wayzata after lunch. We parked the boat by the depot and were lucky enough to see two trains go by while we were visiting the depot. The boys love everything about trains! This train was just starting up, so it was moving pretty slow. The sound of the whistle is very powerful! |

| The train engineer was switching tracks for the little train, so the boys liked watching the train. They could watch this little train for hours. |

| The Minnehaha pulled up to the dock a couple times giving rides while we were at the depot. Always a beautiful site! |
