Busy Busy Busy!

Today Evan was helping Eric clean out the garbage can.  He looks so tall standing on the step ladder.  Our garbage can smelled really bad and their were raccoon footprints on the top.  If our can is outside we have to secure the lid with a bungee cord or the raccoons will get inside and make a mess.

Today was the first day of fall and the boys wanted to eat their lunch on the front step.  Eric brought their table out front, so they could eat.

This week they poured concrete on our curb and apron in front of our house, so we can't pull into the garage.  The boys wanted to set up this train that my parents had given to them.  They had fun watching it go round and round.  The engine has a place to put liquid, so the engine will smoke.  The boys thought that was pretty cool.

Evan and Alex enjoyed climbing on this new piece of playground equipment.  Evan can get all the way to the top!

A couple weeks ago we went on the Minnehaha Steamship.  Alex does not look very happy in this picture, but he did enjoy the ride(just not the picture).

Alex enjoyed looking out the window as we headed back to Wayzata.

The other night Evan was in a cleaning mood.  He first swiffered the floor and then wanted to mop.  He was keeping very busy!

Alex had All About Me week a couple weeks ago and filled out this questionnaire.

Last weekend Eric and I participated in a chili cook-off out at the island.  We didn't win, but people liked our chili.  We may try again next year.

Alex thought this bucket would make a good hat!

Last weekend the boys got invited to our friend Lexi's birthday party at Pump It Up.  The boys had a Blast jumping and going down slides.

On Thursday nights the boys are doing gymnastics.  They really enjoy it!

A couple weeks ago we went to the parade in Wayzata.  Westies were dressed up as Robin Hood this year.  They were so cute!

Beads look good around your ears Evan!

A train roared by as the parade went on and the boys went over to check it out!

Last parade of the summer and it was a beautiful day!

I was so happy to see this cement truck doing our curb and driveway apron.  One step closer to having asphalt on our street again.  I'm tired of the dirt and dust.

With the cars stuck out in the street Evan decided he wanted to mop the garage floor.  Nice job!

Notice the froggy boots!
Last weekend Gay and Bob took the kids and she borrowed her friends jumpy house for the kids.  They had a great time jumping!  Thanks Kori for letting the kids jump!

Labor Day Weekend!

The boys set up some toys and said they were a band using their sticks to make music.

Last weekend The Lafayette club had some fireworks.  We took the boat over to watch them and got to watch the sun set.

This is how Alex watches fireworks!  He was a little cold and tired!  We were waiting for a long time for the sky to get dark enough for the fireworks to start.  The grand finale was AWESOME!

Evan found this cool lawn chair at Menard's.  6 cup holders...really?

The kids lined up to use the fishing pond at the island for some candy.  Luann (who Alex now calls "Little Ann") helped the kids fish.

They had a potluck with dinner and of course there was a cupcake with red frosting;

Apple Orchard 2012

This morning we went to Minnetonka Orchards to pick some apples.  It was a beautiful day to visit the orchard and we had a lot of fun!  We started out by eating and then went on a tractor hay ride.

The boys went on the apple train!

Too bad the caboose is a thing of the past!

Eric and Evan headed down the hill toward me after his tattoo.

Evan got a pumpkin painted on his face.  Alex didn't want any face painting.

Playing on a hay pike is FUN!

They got to pet a calf.

Finally time to pick some apples!  YUMMY!

They allowed us to pick Honeycrisp apples today!  Delicious!

Evan's first day of Pre-K and Mommy's Birthday!

Yesterday Evan had his first day of Pre-K.  He loved it!  His note home today said that he plays well with his friends and always has a smile on his face!  WAY TO GO EVAN!  We are so proud of him!

Evan has been asking to make popcorn.  Eric got some popcorn in a bag and popped it in a pan on the stove.  Notice the cupcakes baking in the oven behind Evan.  The boys made me cupcakes for my birthday!

We took the boat to Maynard's for my birthday dinner.  It was a beautiful night for a cruise.

Silly face!

20 takes to get this picture!  Notice my beads?  The boys wanted me to wear those:-)  Happy Birthday to me!

Evan wanted to go check out the Minnehaha at the dock.

We will be taking a ride on the Minnehaha on Sunday!

The boys get out their roller and bobcat on the way back home.

Back at home we have some cupcakes!  YUMMY!

Alex didn't eat his cupcake, but Evan thought his was delicious!
