More from Evan!
This is a rare moment when Evan falls asleep on our lap! I had to give him a nebulizer treatment for his cough and he fell asleep like he used to when he was little. When he woke up he had the strangest lost look on his face like he didn't know where he was or if it was day or night. Too bad Eric couldn't capture his expression when he woke up. Sweet Baby!
Evan has a new trick where he walks between by legs like he is going under a bridge. He is just the right height!

A visit to Grandpa Dewey and Grandma Shirleys
This past weekend we went to visit my parents. They live about an hour away so we planned to spend the night. We talked my Dad into making his lasagna(which is very delicious)! Thanks Dad! Evan loves lasagna too! Sausage is one his favorite foods. If you have ever been to my parents house you know they have a lot of collections. Evan got a chance to check them all out! I'm happy to report that nothing got broken. Evan was a busy boy and hardly stopped moving. Here are some pictures from our visit. Evan learned how to play fetch with Rex. Check out the video at the end of the post. He thought it was pretty funny that he could throw Rex's toy and he'd bring it right back to him excited for him to throw it once again. Rex was exhausted after we left! I'm pretty sure Mom, Dad, Rex and Toby(the cat) all napped after we left!
This is what Mom calls the bunny room. There are so many breakables and Evan was very good to just look at them. She let him touch the stuffed ones!
Mom also has a collection of Swedish Dala horses. Evan saw them and wanted to sit on them. You had to be right by him because they are just painted and don't have a raised seat, so he would just slide right off the back.

This was my rocking horse when I was Little. He just got some new handles(the original ones broke off). Evan had fun riding my old horse too!
Evan got to sit in the police pedal car again this year. I posted the picture from last January below. Last year Eric had to hold him up from tipping over. Evan had no problem sitting up in the car but he found that it went backwards easier than forward, because he can't yet reach the pedals.
This was Evan last January in the same car. You can see Eric's arm holding him up. He has changed so much in the past year. He has become a little boy!

Evan is throwing Rex's elephant we've named Eleanor. If you ask Rex to go get Eleanor he will go get the elephant:-)

Evan gets in some throwing practice. The funny thing is now he thinks he should throw toys for Eddie too! Eddie was once a retriever, but he is a couch/lap cat now!

Grandpa Dewey got some trains running for Evan. I think they had 5 different trains running at the same time. Evan just stared in amazement as they zoomed by him. When he starts talking I think he will not stop talking about these trains!
Evan is laughing, because he is having so much fun throwing Eleanor for Rex! He could do this all day! I was waiting for him to get the hiccups, because he was laughing so hard!

Evan tries out his new horse!
Evan got this horse from his Grandma Gay and Grandpa Bob for Christmas. We've had it down in the family room downstairs and today we brought it up for him to ride. He got on it a lot easier now than last month. I'll have to get a video if it later this week, because it is really cute. He can ride the horse and bounces up and down and it spins around. It also works with the TV to help him learn to count, but he is not quite ready for that yet. It plays "Old McDonald had a farm" and I think I can still hear that song in my head:-)

An Evening with Evan
There's Laundry to be done!
Stories to be read!
Balls to be thrown!
&
Hats to try on!
Evan is walking really well now. Sometimes he talks a lot, but we don't know what he is saying. He moved into his new bedroom last Thursday night. He has been waking up earlier than normal, so we hope he is just getting used to his new room. With swimming lessons last night he was up until 8:00 and woke up at 5:20 this morning.
Evan will bring you a book to read to him and sit down in your lap. 3 pages into the book and he is getting down to grab another book for you to read. His favorite book right now is "I've been working on the Railroad" that he got from Chris and Jennie for Christmas. The book is shaped like a train and has wheels, so he likes to play with the wheels and silver rivets that hold them on. You can put the book down and two minutes later he'll want you to read it again.
