Evan and Alex - July 2009

A couple weeks ago our friend Chris came to take some pictures of the boys. They turned out awesome! You can see how much Evan cares for his little brother:-) He didn't like Alex getting his picture by himself. He tried to get in all those pictures!!

July 26th

Thanks to Bob, Gay and Michelle for watching the boys yesterday and last night, so we could go to the shrimp boil out at the island. This was our 4th year and it was awesome! We would not have been able to eat there holding a kid or two. It was also nice to sleep in this morning! Thanks! When we got home today we had to take Evan to get a hair cut and run some errands. The sun was in Evan's eyes on the way home so I put my sunglasses on him:-) He didn't want to give them back! He got a nice hair cut at Kids Hair in Minnetonka. This was his 3rd time and he barely cried at all. We were really proud of him. I gave him a big glass of milk before he got his hair cut an I think that helped to relax him. I'll have to get a picture of his hair cut this week. We went to to a new restaurant called Smash Burger for dinner and thought it was very delicious!

We were on the lookout for some toys under the fridge yesterday and Eric decided he needed to do some vacuuming. Eric got out his head light and when he was done Evan wanted to wear it!

I still haven't caught a video of Alex rolling over yet, but I did get a nice smile out of him on Friday night.

More Summer Fun!

This week Alex had a check-up with the cardiologist. He is doing well and we have scheduled his heart surgery for Wednesday September 9th. We've got to keep him healthy, so this date does not get pushed back. Last night Alex rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time!! The last couple weeks when he plays on his activity mat..he has been rolling to his side. Last night I gave him a little push so he would end up on his tummy and the next time I looked over he had flipped to his tummy again. He did it one more time and by the time Eric got out the video camera he was too tired to flip over again! We'll have to get it on video soon.

Evan doesn't like the baby swing anymore, so he has started swinging like this.

He started climbing up this chain ladder, so he can go down the slide!

He even got to shoot some hoops! Dad's arms were killing him after a few shots(BIG KID):-)

Evan is enjoying the boat. He points out all the Jet ski's, airplanes, boats, puppies, fishes, birds and bubbles he sees.

Fun Summer

Last week when we were on our way back from Iowa I looked down and saw Evan holding Alex's hand. ahhhhhh....He loves his little brother:-) How precious!
Today we were out on the island with Nick and Steph. Evan had fun playing in the sand with Jeremy and getting dirty! So much for keeping his white shirt clean on a non day care day! I try not to send him to day care in a white shirt, because it will never be white again:-)

Evan is fascinated with the bathroom on the boat. Maybe I should try putting him on the toilet:-) This picture is out of place, but I can't seem to move pictures around tonight.

Fun Fun!

WHEEEE!

Today the baby bjorn came in very handy. We used it to take Alex out to the island instead of his car seat. He doesn't really like being in it when we were on the boat, so it was nice not to haul it out and I think he was more comfortable. The only downside is that when we got back to the car his car seat was pretty hot!

Happy Birthday Eric and 4th of July

Today is Eric's Birthday! Bob and Gay were nice enough to bring over a cake for Eric yesterday!

I bought him some White Castle Sliders on the way home:-) They were from the freezer case, but they were better than nothing.

Evan discovered that he can put his toys through the window and go down below to get them. This keeps him busy for quite awhile:-) Eric...that screen is never gonna go back in that window!

Evan wore this same shirt last 4th of July! Alex is a big boy. He's got his 4th month check up tomorrow. Day care is ready to start him on cereal, because he is such a hungry boy! Grow strong little man! We Love You!

Evan loves to hang out at the helm. No buttons....Evan(he is a button pusher). I think he needs to get a little taller before he can drive the boat.
