Chi town

Today we headed to Chicago to celebrate Eric's cousin Megan's college graduation. We decided to leave a little really wound up in some traffic outside Chicago. Stopped at a couple rest stops on the way in WI . Kids could get their wiggles out, the crazy tired boys decided to go swimming.

Summer fun!

Last weekend we went to the Waterpark at Mall Of America to celebrate the end of school with some friends. Not a camera friendly place so I took a couple pics in the arcade as the boys spent their money on some games and got a couple prizes. Saturday we headed out to the island and it was a little chilly but still nice enough to make s'mores. Evan's hand were a mess ! Sunday it was finally warm enough to put in the swim platform and get in the water. Sunday the kids fished with Ross and Tina and got some Sunnies and crappies to cook up. Alex loved them and Evan wouldn't try it. The boys were playing on the iPads as we headed home on the almost hour long trip home. The lake is so high there is no wake and the channel is quiet. You can see how calm the water is behind Evan.

Summer has begun!

Last weekend we got a ton of rain and the lake levels are so high you can't have a wake and have to go slow. Took this pic on the way back from Lord Fletcher's on Wednesday night. My poor flowers I planted last week got flooded by all the rain. Roots were exposed and I had to add some dirt. They have recovered thankfully and are showing color.

Baseball

The kids were super excited to start baseball this week! They have a short practice and then play another team. They will use the T for a couple weeks and them the coach will pitch to them. They are The Pirates!

Movin Up night for Alex

Alex is moving up to Kindergarten!  They have a fun night to celebrate their achievements!  They did a nice prograrm and sang some songs.  They sang Let It Go from Frozen and it was so cute:-)

The next day was SUPER TEAM day at school where the kids did lots of activities outside.  They came home exhausted and played the iPads and were quiet.

At the school carnival we bid on a firetruck ride to school and won!  They brought two trucks and picked up the kids for the last day of school!  Eric and I got to go too!

Evan said this was the BEST day of his life! 

They got to try on some gear and see how heavy it is and difficult to walk around.

A little different than riding in a car!  It made me a little sick to drive backwards.  They took us on a ride up to the high school and then back to their school.  Riley sat up front and got to honk the horn !
