Cabin Life and a few hours in Duluth

I'm so behind in posting(SORRY)!  In August we went up to my parents cabin for a few days and then headed to Duluth for the afternoon on our way home.  We ended up seeing 3 ships..two departing and one arriving in Duluth!  Two of the ships departing were 1000 footers!  They are a sight to see!  We had a great time and the weather was perfect.  The flies weren't too bad but the mosquitoes ate us alive when we went out to see the space station on the dock at night.  The kids swam and we climbed the ranger tower and went fishing and got a 4 wheeler ride from Uncle Greg.  Great Uncle Jimmy built an excavator called The Beast and he let the kids use it to dig up some dirt in the yard.  They had a blast!

They love walking Rex

Looking in the culvert like I did as a kid.  This culvert wasn't as big back then!  There were a couple of nice ladies going through in kayaks that we talked to..  They encouraged him to sing in it while they were passing through.  I'm almost sure they regretted that decision.

Uncle Greg took Evan and Eric out fishing.

2015 cement project!

We stopped by Tom and Joyce's but they weren't home, so we took a picture to document!

Gorgeous day in Canal Park!  It was nearly 80 degrees by the water

Kid photo with finger print in the corner!  LOL

August already

We saw these cool notepads and Fleet Farm and they can handle water and won't fall apart.
We went to a picnic today at Elm Creek with some friends!  It was a beautiful day for a picnic!
Robert had some dry ice for the Popsicles he brought and the kids had fun putting that in water and watching it smoke.
Evan is the oldest then Sophie, Alex, Athena, Johanna,  Jack, Tristan, Hera, Colin & Parker
Alex was a bed hog when I tried to go to bed on the boat! I had to move him and he didn't kick me all night!
My mom got them these glow stick balls which kept them entertained for quite awhile.  Alex had the idea to add extra sticks to make the ball bigger.
Mom found this old bingo ge we had as kids and Alex wanted to play it on the boat!
Hanging out at anchor!
