New Year's Eve Snowstorm

So, what happens when you have two bottles of champagne and 8" inches of fresh snow on New Year's Eve? Well, everybody stays home (to stay safe) and Denise and I drink all the champagne ourselves. Happy New Year!

A long weekend in Naples, FL

Today, we went to Naples Florida and spent a long weekend. Our friend Gloria had a place for us to stay. In addition, Craig and Sue Frane were in town also (they live there in the winter). So, we spent a long weekend eating out and laying on the beach.

Robert's Wedding

Today was an interesting day. We had two weddings on the same day. So, Denise when to Zack's wedding and Eric went to Robert's wedding. Robert's reception was at the top of the IDS Tower in Minneapolis and Denise came and picked up Eric on her way home. Here's a shot from the top of the Twin Cities.

Let the boating season begin....

Today, we were out on the boat. We swung by Gary's boat (Gary is one of Eric's coworkers). Gary snapped this shot of us while we were out.

Honeymoon

For our honeymoon, we spent 4 days in San Francisco and another 4 days in Napa and Sonoma Valley. San Francisco was great. We stayed in a Radisson right on the Fisherman's Wharf that overlooked Alcatraz. We walked all over the city, rode the trolley, visited Alcatraz, and even rode on a fire engine over the Golden Gate Bridge. In Napa and Sonoma Valley we went on a hot air balloon ride, went to the Jelly Belly factory, and of course, sampled some wine.

Wedding Bells

Today, Denise and I got married. We'll both admit that everything went off without a hitch. People even told us that the sun started shining on us through the skylights in the church when we started our vows. On Monday, we'll head off to San Francisco and Sonoma/Napa Valley for our honeymoon.

Two-foot-itis

There's a well-known term in the boating ranks called two-foot-itis. It's the itch you get when you want a boat that's just two foot longer. Well, 3 days before we are supposed to get married, our new boat arrived at the dealership. They'll get it ready while we're on our honeymoon and then we'll pick it up the day we get back.
