Evan goes Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Dewey's House

Although Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Dewey have seen Evan several times since he was born, he still hadn't visited Grandma and Grandpa's house. So, on Friday afternoon, Mommy and Daddy picked up Evan from daycare and drove out to Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Dewey's house. Grandpa Dewey made his famous lasagna (and sent an entire pan of leftovers home with Mommy and Daddy) and Shirley made her famous birthday cake (Grandpa Dewey's birthday is coming up soon) and her famous cornbread (well, Redstone's famous cornbread). Everybody stayed over and Evan slept in the bunny room in his Pack N Play and only woke up once! Today, we all went to visit one of Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Dewey's favorite Mexican restaurants in a town just down the road. After a brief trip to the mall for a walk, we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house so that Evan could see the various collections of Dewey and Shirley. These collections include model trains, floaty pens, planters, lunchboxes, and many more collectables. "The Groove"

Hi. This is Eddie, the cat of the house. Little baby Evan is now 3 months old today. Now that Evan's in daycare (also referred to as the spa) and mommy's back to work, I've started to notice that everybody's in "the groove". Some people call it a routine, but I think "routine" sounds kind of negative. So, here's the groove...

4:45 AM - Mommy gets up and works on producing Evan's daily meals (breastmilk)

5:30 AM - Mommy and Daddy get ready for work

6:15 AM - Mommy leaves for work, Daddy wakes up Evan, puts on his clothes, and feeds him

6:15 -7:00 AM Evan watches CNBC while being fed by Daddy (he likes the ticker at the bottom of the 50" big screen)

7:00 AM - Daddy takes Evan to daycare (also referred to as the spa)

7:15 - Daddy leaves for work

This is pretty much where I eat, sleep, poop, and watch the birds outside...Ah...Me time!

5:00 PM - Mommy arrives home with Evan

5:00-6:00 PM - It's always a three ring circus to see who's going to make dinner and who's going to feed Evan

6:00 - 7:30 PM - Evan either sleeps or plays, 3 nights a week it's bathtime

7:30 PM - Mommy usually sits down and feeds Evan his last bottle and puts him to bed (he pretty much sleeps through the night now)

8:00-8:30 PM - Mommy and Daddy empty the dishwasher, put all the bottles together, and make bottles for Evan for the next day

8:30-9:00 PM - Mommy and Daddy time in front of the TV (sometimes, I even get some laptime with them)

9:00 PM- Time to get ready for bed

10:00 PM- I fall asleep on the bed in the yellow room

Anytime between 10 PM and 4 AM, I randomly get up, roam the halls, meow as loud as I can, and see if I can wake Evan up.....hehehe

Well, it's just about time for time with Mommy and Daddy on the sofa. Gotta go! But before I do, here's some pictures of Evan today.

Evan's first day at Daycare

Yesterday was Evan's first day at daycare. When I picked him up he was smiling and his teachers said he was a content and happy baby.

Evan was pretty tired last night from his adventure at daycare(Eric tells him we are taking him to the spa). We talked to one of the other Mom's yesterday morning and she has her second daughter in the daycare and assured us that they will take good care of Evan for us.

Once he got up from his nap and had some lunch we decided to take him for a walk, because it was a beautiful day(40 degrees). As you can see he didn't mind his new winter hat!


















When we got home he was sound asleep!! What a life:-)

Evan was fighting sleep on Wednesday night while I was trying to take down the Christmas decorations. We finally got him to take a little nap.


















Evan tried out his Bumbo seat today for the first time. He sat in it and was pretty happy for a few mintues and then he wanted out.

Evan will begin going to daycare on Monday. Yesterday afternoon we stopped by the daycare to drop off the necessities(diapers, wipes, lotion & diaper cream) they require. We hung out for about 45 minutes. One of the providers held him for a few minutes and he seemed pretty comfortable. He will be one of only a couple of boys in the infant room. I know he will have lots of girlfriends, because he is just so darn cute:-)
