Alex at 7 weeks

It is hard to believe that Alex is already 7 weeks old! I shot these pictures of him today. Last night he slept in his crib for the first time. Alex usually sleeps from 10:30 at night until around 4:00 am. He is starting to make cooing noises and showing his personality with his facial expressions and moods.

Easter part II

Last Saturday we went up to celebrate Easter with my Dad's side of the family. Again we got a picture of all the kids. Next time I think we need to take the picture when we arrive, because we took the picture right before leaving and they were all pretty tired. Both Evan and Alex slept all the way home.

Happy Easter!

The day before Easter Grandma Gay brought over some Easter eggs to hide for Evan, so he could get some practice for the big day!

We spent Easter at Eric's Aunt Michelle's and Gay hid some eggs outside for Evan to find. He had lots of fun looking for eggs.

Evan got a T-Ball set from the Easter bunny. He had fun going after the ball. I'm sure he'll be swinging the bat to hit that ball in no time:-)

Haircut Anyone?

Saturday morning we took Evan to Kid's Hair to get his first official haircut. Daddy's cuts are starting to look a little too much like a bowl cut. Judy was his stylist and she was very good considering his mood and movement. She put Elmo on the TV, but Evan didn't even care. As you can see he didn't like getting his haircut! The salon was full of kids and he was the only one crying. I think we were out of there in less than 10 minutes.
This was him in the car afterwards and he was still not happy! Hopefully he'll do better next time:-) He had to go home and get a bath, because he had hair all over his shirt and neck.

Happy Easter!

Here are a few pictures from our Easter dinner at Michelle's.

Off to the zoo!

Today we took Evan to the MN Zoo. He enjoyed watching the animals he could see move. He didn't really see or care about those that he couldn't see move. We took him too the Family Farm and Eric fed some goats and that scared him. Here we are watching the Gibbon. He walked across a rope and did some swinging, so Evan liked to watch the Gibbon.
Here we are watching the fish pass by. Today is Good Friday and lots of schools must've been closed, because the zoo was very crowded. Too many people:-)
Camels. Two baby camels were just introduced yesterday(it was on the news). You can't see them in this picture. They laid down to rest back by the fence.

Alex enjoying the zoo:-) zzzzzz

Evan also enjoyed watching the sea otters and grizzly bears at Russia's Grizzly Coast. Our last stop was Discovery Bay to see the Dolphin's(my favorite), but it was too crowded for Evan to see them and he was getting pretty tired, so we headed home.
Happy Easter everyone!

Smiles all around!

I got Alex to give me a little smile today. He's starting to smile when you smile at him, so look for more smile pictures to come:-)
Evan's booster seat allows him to eat off the table rather than his tray for his high chair. I think he was a little tired, so he put his head down on the table. Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Dewey got him a United States place mat, so we'll try to get him to learn his states! His room has a map of the United States too and I try to get him to say "United States".
I took this of Evan today. He was smiling but when I snapped the picture his smile faded. He's almost back to normal. He's eating less and getting a lot of rest sleeping in and taking good naps. We took him to see our pediatrician today to follow up and she said he looks good. He hasn't had a fever and the rash he got is fading, so he's getting over whatever virus he had. Thank goodness!
This afternoon I looked out my kitchen window and spotted this big hawk. I think he was looking for some dinner.
