Happy Halloween 2010!

Tonight we went trick or treating at the Mall of America (MOA). It was nice to trick or treat out of the elements, but it was pretty crowded. We approached some stores, at first, with 20+ people in line to get "a" sucker or tootsie roll! CRAZY! Not every store hands out candy, so the kids didn't get very much candy and we covered two levels. They got more candy at daycare on Friday trick or treating than at MOA. I think we'll hit the streets next year:-)

I'm Buzz Lightyear!

I'm a monkey!

Evan did do some walking or I carried him some. He is really getting too big to be carried!

Today Eric and I finally got a chance to carve our pumpkins! They look pretty good! I think we haven't carved pumpkins in 5 years...since we first moved into our house in 2005.

Today I was doing some dishes and Alex was really quiet. I checked on him and he was reading this book in the recliner. At least the book is the right direction:-)

Evan decided to pile the chairs and pillows up on the bench today. At least he didn't try to sit on them!

Animal Bed? This morning Evan brought all the stuffed animals out of his room and put them on the living room floor and he and Alex laid down like it was their bed and watched Toy Story.

I finally got Alex a pair of sunglasses. They didn't last very long on his face, but he was pretty cute.

Pumpkin carving Take 1

Sunday we picked up some pumpkins to carve. We put them on our front step it has been raining and very windy the past couple days. Tonight Eric brought them in and wiped them off. Evan helped him to take the guts out of the pumpkins. He pulled his high chair right up to the counter. Alex thought he was going to be a part of this too, but he was more interested in dumping out his Mr. Potato Head!

He said "I want to put my head in the Pumpkin Daddy"! I think Daddy didn't make the hole big enough. Good thing!

Stay tuned for Take 2. Carving will likely take place on Friday night.

Crazy Hair Day!

This week is spirit week at daycare. The boys got crazy hair today! Thankfully it washed out after a couple times of soaping up their hair. Tomorrow they get to wear their Vikings for sports team day. I'm temped to put them in Twins shirts since the Vikings are doing so awful!

This fall we had an abundance of acorns falling from our oak tree in the front yard. They would fall on the roof and make lots of noise. They coated the driveway and we'd hear the pop pop pop as we'd back over them with the car. This squirrel was enjoying his acorn up in the tree!

Evan got his first giftcard to Target! He LOVES Target. Both he and Alex yell TARGET when we drive by any Target store.

Evan opened a card from Great Auntie Mitch and was going to give it back to her:-)

Evan got a Toy Story comforter!

Nice tongue!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Evan! Happy Birthday to you! "Mommy this wax candle doesn't taste so good"! YUCKY:-)

Alex was tired, so he got put in his PJ's while the guests were still here.

I waited to long to try and get this picture with the two papa's and the boys. Neither of them wanted to cooperate. Nice try Nick! Next time I will try to get the picture before everyone is tired.

Evan plays with Jeremy and his balloons!

It was a great 3rd birthday for Evan! He has been keeping busy playing with his cars, games and train set.

Happy 3rd Birthday Evan!

Evan turned 3 yesterday! We can't believe 3 years has gone by since he was born. Evan and Alex are big Toy Story 2 fans. Alex got Evan the Jesse doll from Toy Story!

Evan also got a virtual loop race track for hotwheels cars.

Setting up the loop!

JESSE!

Hopefully he will be able to wear this sweat shirt with pride soon! Go VIKINGS!

I took the day off yesterday and I took Evan to my work so he could see where Mommy worked and then we went to the MN zoo. The baby dolphin is not yet on display yet. We were able to go up into the auditorium and could see the baby poking her snout out of the water. A volunteer told me that they are getting her used to the opening and closing of the gates. Semo who you see here is in the big tank by himself and Grandma, Mom and baby remain in the back tanks off display. We spent a lot of time watching the dolphins!

Semo was biting on this teether, so we got a nice close up view of him not moving so fast.

A Birthday would not be complete without a trip to Chuck E Cheeses...so we made an appearance there last night. Evan had the most fun of all his birthdays. He enjoyed earning tickets and used them to buy some stickers, a sucker and a spoon.

Leaves are falling from our trees

Wow Daddy that is one big pile of leaves!! Can we jump in it?

Lets stand in the leaves!

Lets bury Evan in the leaves!

Lets run through the leaves!

Leaf blower! He looks like a natural:-) Do they make these in Jr. sizes?

Leaf sucker:-)

Daddy in the leaf pile with us. One kid is loving this and the other is not! Can you tell which is which?

Can a tractor go through the leaf pile?

Big brother pushes little brother on the tractor.

Now that the kids are broken in to cleaning up leaves in the yard maybe Eric can take them out with him. There are a TON more leaves yet to fall:-) The weather was so beautiful we just couldn't resist getting out there early to play in the leaves!

Alex was on top of the swing set. He can almost climb up by himself. He just needs a spotter. He goes feet first on his belly(he's gone down about 8 times, so I'm not sure how his shirt stayed white). I feel good about this because one day at the park when I wasn't there to catch him he decided to go on his belly face first. He was OK, but his face planted into the wood chips and he got pretty dirty and was pretty upset.
