A Few Days Up North!

The boys got to go on uncle Greg's 4-Wheeler. Evan would only go if Daddy went too. Evan looks pretty comfortable at the wheel! Vroom Vroom!

In the bottom right corner you can see that Alex is sad as they drive away on the 4-wheeler without them.

Alex gets to go for a ride too. He didn't like riding on the 4-wheeler very much. Too bumpy maybe?

Mom and Dad got our old slide down from the attic. The boys had fun going down it over and over again.

Papa Dewey and Alex!

I think the boys almost look like twins in this picture. Alex is turning into a little blondie too now that he spends a couple hours outside every day.

Alex thinks this step stool is his little table:-)

Time for a little fishing. Evan didn't remember fishing. They didn't catch anything, because I'm sure he would've remembered had he caught a fish.

Alex had to try fishing too. He had more fun running up and down the dock. I followed behind closely, so he wouldn't fall in the water.

He looks pretty comfortable with that fishing pole in his hand. Now if he could only sit still long enough to fish:-)

The boys and Rex are excited when Uncle Greg arrives at the cabin!

Evan and Rex are looking for something outside!

Two years ago when we were at the cabin we climbed the ranger tower and Evan was on Eric's chest in a baby bjorn. This year Evan was excited to climb the ranger tower. I carried him to the base of the ranger tower and the climbed up the rest of the way. Eric carried Alex the whole way. He just climbed up a couple steps at the base. Dad came up too, so he could take the picture of us at the top.

Evan stares out in awe at what he sees from this height. If Alex was scared he didn't really let us know. He just whined a little. At his age he wants to be where ever we are.

The views of Big Sandy from this height are spectacular!

We made it to the top! There is a small office on the top and Evan was very concerned that it was locked. He really wanted to go up there and see what was up there.

From the ground this picture of the ranger tower in the distance does not do justice to show it's height. It is really tall! The steps up to the top are almost worse than the tower itself.

Mom and Dad's friend Kent has a tractor and he lives on the lake. He said we could come over and use his beach, because swimming isn't an option at the cabin. The boys have a great time sitting on this tractor. Alex now says the word "tractor".

Kent took us for a boat ride around the lake and we saw a bald eagle.

Kent took us buy my grandpa's old house. The new owners have painted it and it looks pretty good.

Kent has a puppy "dog" named Maggie. Alex likes to say puppy and he wants to pet her!

The boys have fun with the twirly slide.

Eric throws a ball down the slide to the boys and they wait for it. I love this picture of the boys! It shows brotherly love. Alex isn't afraid to push his way in next to his brother.

Evan catches the ball!

The boys have fun playing in the sand at Kent's house.

Evan throws the tennis ball for Maggie!

Family picture at the beach!

Papa Dewey and Alex

Evan jumps off the dock. He only jumped a couple times. He was too cold to keep going.

A couple more pictures of Kent's tractor.

My uncle Tommy also has a tractor and he lives down the road from the cabin. Alex took a ride with him.

Evan would stand next to it for a picture, but he wouldn't ride on it.

There is a sandbox out behind the garage. Mom and Dad got out some of Greg's old Tonka trucks and the boys had fun playing in the sand. They sure got dirty!

As you can see we had a very busy vacation! The boys never stop moving unless they are sleeping:-) They slept and took good naps at the cabin!
