Norwegian Sun

Eric and I just got back yesterday from a week long cruise in the Western Caribbean.  The weather was fabulous!  We took this self portrait prior to leaving port.

Getting ready to leave Port Canaveral.

Day 1 at Sea..enjoying some Mega Bloody Mary's on deck!

Day 2 in Cozumel, Mexico.  We did a catamaran ride and ended up at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville for some nachos before heading back to the ship.  This place definitely has a party atmosphere!!  We opted out of the balloon hats being made by a clown.

Day 3 in Grand Cayman.  We opted for an umbrella over sun exposure and chilled out in the shade.

We were at 7 mile beach where you can rent a couple chairs and an umbrella.

We were 1 of 6 ships in port that day(You can see a few of them off in the distance).  YIKES!  We were the last ship to arrive.  This made the beach very crowded.  This port doesn't have a pier, so all visitors are brought into shore with tenders.  You can see one of the tenders dropping off people back at the cruise ship.

I love when the waves push the sand over your feet.

Any idea what this is?  It was hanging on the wall above our toilet on the cruise.  It's a hair dryer.  The design is bad, because all the heat stays in the hose and it takes forever to dry your hair.  Our last two cruise ships were a little newer and they had a normal hair dyer.  I think they need to update this bathroom!

Enjoying a nice dinner at the steakhouse on board with a bottle of wine.

and dessert of course!
In Ocho Rios, Jamaica  Eric climbed up Dunns River Falls.  I opted out of that portion of the tour.  Imagine holding hands in a string of 40 people while climbing up a waterfall in extremely cold water.  Not my idea of fun!  One woman commented to Eric that she wouldn't have made it up the falls without his help.

I didn't have our camera at the bottom of the falls, so I got this image from someone on google.  There are 4 or 5 areas like this you have to climb.  I was amazed at the people who took their young children up these falls.  I saw kids that were 6 or 7.  I suppose they have a lot of strength, but this was pretty dangerous if you ask me:-)

After the falls tour we got to spend a couple ours on a nice beach!

We enjoyed having a balcony again on this ship.  I'd recommend it if you go on a cruise.
I almost forgot to add a couple of our cute towel animals that were waiting for us when we arrived in our stateroom after our time at the pool or in port!  This little mouse in the coffee cup was adorable!
Elephant!

This was the sunset on our last night out our balcony before heading back to Port Canaveral.

You don't see any pictures of the kids?  They stayed home with the Grandparents and were in excellent hands!  We were able to call home and talk to the kids a couple times.  Evan was counting the "sleeps" until we came home.  I'm not sure Alex really missed us, but he's told me I Love You Mommy about 50 times since we got back last night.

Time to unstrap the food bag!   Back to snow, kids and cooking again. We prided ourselves on always taking the stairs instead of the elevator on the ship, so that counts as working out right?  To give some perspective on this our stateroom was on floor 10 and the pool and breakfast was on 11.  Night time activities and dinner were on floor 5 or 6 and ports took you out on level 3.  We would come back from port and climb from floor 3 to 10.  Two sets of stairs for each floor.
