Happy Birthday!

Denise celebrated a milestone birthday earlier this month.  She woke up to a decorated dining room and living room.  The night before her birthday, Alex was telling her that she needed to go to bed early.  Denise obviously didn't understand.  What she didn't know was that Alex was trying to get her to go to bed so that I could decorate.

 For her birthday dinner, we all went to Benihana.  We had a great time and the staff even sang happy birthday to her in English and Japanese!

Denise couldn't whoop it up too hard on her birthday.  She had to wake up early the next day because she was going to run a half marathon.  The boys and I met her at the 9-1/2 mile mark and at the finish.  She finished in a great time and was rewarded to a hearty breakfast at Maynard's.  Happy Birthday Denise!

After the race, we hopped on the boat for Denise's hearty breakfast at Maynard's.  Later that day, we rafted up with some friends in Wayzata and listened to the Goo Goo Dolls concert that took place as part of James J Hill Days.  Later than night, they had fireworks that we were able to watch from the boat.  On Sunday, we boated back to Wayzata and watched the parade, took in a ride on the steamboat Minnehaha,  and let the kids take in a couple rides.  All in all...a great weekend!
