Magic Kingdom

The week after Thanksgiving we headed to Disney for a few days!  The weather was in the upper 70's and we'd see about an hour of rain afternoon.  It is wonderful to see green and flowers and wear shorts again!

We took full advantage of this train that takes you around the Magic Kingdom, so you don't do as much walking.  If you take the train to Frontier Land right when you arrive you can ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad many times before there is a wait!  Eric also had the Disney app on his phone so we could use fastpass and see wait times prior to heading to a ride.

We went during a time when it isn't as busy, but still had to wait in line.  Disney does a good job of having things to keep kids busy like this big bullseye at the Barnstormer roller coaster.

It's A Small World After All!  It's still there and you wait in a long line to see this classic ride.  Little animation figures singing It's a Small World in their native languages!

Alex lost his first tooth in the hot tub at the hotel!  Tooth Fairy had to make a visit to our hotel room at the GoGo Tree(as Alex called it)...Doubletree!

We would typically go to a park in the morning and then head back to the hotel late afternoon for the boys to swim and then go to a park at night.  Our hotel shared a shuttle with a few other hotels down the road, so we were able to catch a bus every half hour to the park or back to the hotel.

Our last day there we got a fast pass to see Mickey.  We got in line and every few minutes they would move us to a different room before we finally got to Mickey.  He was a talking Mickey and very cool cracking jokes and wanted to pretend with the boys that they were pirates! I definitely recommend stopping by to see this Mickey if you go to Magic Kingdom.  It was like going to see Santa!

We rode the Buzz Lightyear ride many times and tried to take out Zurg!  The boys had to get their picture taken with him!

The speedway has to be one of the worst places to work at Disney.  Those cars are so smelly!  The boys love being able to drive and have a blast!  I wonder if they consider changing the technology to improve the pollution from these cars.

Alex picked out this Mickey Fantasia hat on our last day at Magic Kingdom before heading to the airport.  It lights up!

If there is a parade at Disney you better plan to line up an hour before the parade is going to start and park yourselves and wait.  This particular afternoon it was raining off and on, so everything was wet.

The floats are absolutely beautiful!

Of course Ana, Elsa and Olaf are big hits with the kids!

The clouds opened up just for the parade!

Climbing in the treehouse! So FUN!

Love the Christmas touches!

The boys got to meet Buzz Lightyear!

The castle was beautiful and would change colors.  Late in the evening they even played movies on it, but we were busy riding rides and only caught it on our way out of the park.

Late night bus ride back to the hotel.  We ended up catching the ferry to get back to the parking lot, because the line was so long for the monorail.  The guy running the ferry assured us the ferry was the fastest way across the lake since they can  hold up to 600 passengers.

This evening we waited for the nighttime parade, but we didn't get a good spot.  The boys were sitting on the ground killing time as we waited for the parade and then we held them up for awhile so they could see.  Then we headed off to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 4 more times(which is a blast in the dark)!  3 nights while we were there Magic Kingdom had a special Christmas party that you had to have special admission to get into.  We chose not to do that since we had already paid for the Disney park hoppers.  We just planned to head to other parks on these evenings.  I think that made this night at Disney especially busy!
