End of school and more summer fun!

Last day of school front step pictures.  They were not being very cooperative until they found Dad was photo bombing them!

Alex and his awesome kindergarten teacher Mr. Thorpe

There were only 7 boys in Alex's class and this is 6 of them.  They really had a lot of girls in their class.  These boys really bonded are the best of buds.  I hope they are together in 1st grade!  They had a graduation ceremony and the kids got to demonstrate something for all the parents  Alex drew a cube!

My parents took the kids for a couple days after school got out and we went off to Chino Latino since it was a rainy evening and boating would not have been any fun.  Coconut Curry Shrimp is my favorite!  We haven't been there since last year.

Thursday night we went to Lord Fletcher's and met up with some friends to listen to a band play.

Saturday we were out at the island and it was a chilly but sunny day.

Alex tried surfing on the kayak

fishing with hot dogs and catching lots of fish

They kayak is a big hit.

He was proud of his track in the sand

Evan brought this umbrella to Alex's baseball game, but he just used it it block the sun.

Watching Evan's baseball game

Getting silly!

Eric took the boys out on Friday and they got to watch the sunset.

Evan doing some housework to clean mosquitoes off the bow

At baseball we saw someone with this Styrofoam plane and I saw one at Target and had to get them one.  It kept them entertained.  It is held together with some duct tape now, but it still flies.

The boys had some fun roasting some marshmallows

Last year the boys were on the same team and that was very convenient.  Now they have different games at different times and sometimes the same time, so it takes a little shuffling and waiting while the other one plays.

Alex has fun on the monkey bars while Evan is playing his game.

We got to meet Spider-man and I found out he was going to be at Dakota Junction on Tuesday, so we went there for dinner and saw him.  The Villain was there too.

Friday we held our annual HopeKids event at the island.  We hosted over 130 people and showed them a great time trying to help them forget about their illness.  It was a perfect day!  We let the kids join us this year and then had fun  helping show the kids a great time.

Alex enjoys a brownie!

On Father's Day morning I made some brownie-cookies and Alex had to lick the spatula.  He is a man after my own heart.

Gay wanted some pictures of the boys with their hats on backwards.
