Making Pierogies for Thanksgiving!
Over 30 years ago my grandma Mary sat down and watched and observed her Mother Anastasia making the traditional Ukrainian pierogies. My grandma taught my Dad and he taught me and I taught Eric and now we are teaching Evan and Alex. My cousin Sarah and I trade off making them for family holidays. The boys really got involved rolling and Evan scooped the potato and cheese mixture onto the dough and then you fold the dough over and punch it to seal the potato mixture inside prior to boiling. Two thumbs up from these boys!! Dad likes to venture out and put different fillings inside the dough. His potstickers are delicious. The pierogies are good fried up in a pan after boiling!

Fun Weekend!
Saturday we went to the Warerpark of America. My phone was packed away so I have no pictures from there but today we went to see Santa and the boys sat in his lap for the first time! We also had some fun at the mall!

Fun times
Last week we went to Culver's for family night and the boys got painted. Evan requested a fire breathing dragon and Alex a shark. Miss Diane who does the painting is so great with the boys. She is always explaining how she creates the drawings Using letters. The boys had conferences last week and they are both doing great. It is amazing to see them writing and coloring and showing interest in drawing as they improve. Evan has homework a couple nights a week. The boys were excited about our turkey decoration for Thanksgiving. They wanted to hug it! Eddie wanted in the office while I was working at home this week! I found this cute count down to Christmas sign this week at HomeGoods. The tree is a chalkboard.

A couple more from Halloween and more fun!
Alex and Evan came home after trick or treating with pumpkins full of candy! Alex was a lot happier when he came home. He was excited about some tattoos that came with his candy. He decided since it was Halloween we should do stories in the dark, so he put on the headlamp! Saturday it was a beautiful day and Evan helped me wash some windows. Sunday morning the kids got up nice and early after we changed the clocks back. Evan was up at 5:20! Alex decided it was time for a construction project! He loves his cranes:-). Evan got these mustache glasses for selling fundraiser items!

October Fun!
Saturday morning I ran the Monster Dash 10 Mile! It was a little chilly but I got thru it. The boys got a ride on the tractor today after they cleaned up the yard. I made some delicious white chicken chili today! Yummy! We got a Wii last week and the boys were racing together on a bike. Today we had our Fall photos. We got there a little early and saw this BIG 5. The boys wanted to climb on it for some pictures. The boys spotted A Little Free Library and were intrigued! They didn't find anything that appealed to them inside. The boys ended the day watching a little TV nicely together on the couch.
