Almost Memorial Day!

I had to buy some new coconut liners for the planter on our deck.  Of course Evan wanted to put it on his head!  Nice hat:-)

I had to clear the old coconut liners and dirt out of these planters, because some morning doves made a nest in it and were ready to lay their second set of eggs!  I picked geraniums figuring it wouldn't appeal to them as a nest anymore.

The morning dove that was living in the planter.  They found a new home somewhere nearby.  I've heard them singing their tune while we've been outside.

These window washers amaze me.  They come to my office about 3 times a year to clean the windows.  They sit on a little board and are suspended from the top of the building.  Not a job I would want!  They really have a system for cleaning windows!
Sunday at the island this snapping turtle was laying her eggs.  We left a good distance and tried not to disturb her.  The boys thought she was pretty cool.  Evan did question me after if that snapping turtle is in the water where he swims.  I told him he's always moving when he's swimming, so the turtle would probably be scared of him!  I HOPE!  We'll see if he remembers as he heads into the water when the weather gets a little warmer.  I'd be more worried about the 30 sunfish floating nearby.  OUCH!  Those things are like piranha.

Sunday Alex got out his drum and started to play.  They were both playing instruments and having a blast.  They have been asking me lately to turn up the music in the car!
